Art you can walk around in

Wearable, one-of-a-kind, and all theirs.

Hand-painted trainers for little ones, big ones and everyone in between. Favourite characters, pets, patterns — something nobody else will be wearing.

Trainers with a story of their own

A pair of trainers can be a little canvas for something you love: a favourite character, a pet, a pattern or colours that feel entirely yours. Start with the person who will wear them and the details that would make the pair special.

The Paw Patrol trainers above show both a finished painted shoe and an earlier pencil sketch. They are a starting point for the conversation, not the only direction to choose. Tell me about your idea and we can discuss how it might sit across the pair.

Choosing the shoes before the design

The trainer style, material and shape affect the area available to paint. Send the brand or style, the size and a few clear photographs if you already own the pair. A side view and close-up of the material are especially useful.

If you have not bought the trainers yet, please get in touch before choosing a pair purely for painting. We can discuss suitability and the design first, rather than assuming every surface will work in the same way.

From a favourite idea to a balanced pair

Think about whether you want the two shoes to match, tell different parts of the same story or include a smaller personal detail. Colour references and a note about which subjects matter most help me understand what you are after.

Please mention whether they are intended for regular wear, an occasion or display. Care, finish and practical arrangements need to be discussed for the particular pair; painted trainers should not be treated as having a blanket waterproof or machine-washable guarantee.

Tell me about your trainers

  • What type of trainers they are (or would be).
  • The size.
  • Whether you already have them or need to buy them.
  • Your design ideas — characters, colours, names.
  • When you'd like them by.

How a custom trainer commission works

  1. 1

Share the trainers and the design idea.

  2. 2

    We agree the details together.

  3. 3

I hand-paint them, one stroke at a time.

Not quite sure what you're after? That's absolutely fine — we can work it out together.
